Dear Curiosity Journal,

Our seeds for fall plantings have arrived and Annie has been hard at work getting them in the soil. This week, she accomplished a full reset on Field A, removing the summer crops, pulling weeds, prepping beds, direct seeding, and transplanting. The rain fell right on cue. It’s so cool to see the transformation of the fall turnover, and also hard to believe it’s already that time of year. Next week, Annie will be heading back to school, and we will miss her dearly. I’m trying not to think about it too much. We’ve had a wonderful summer with her and she’s starting to feel like family, but I know she must return to finish her degree in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems. All we can say is that we hope she circles back to us someday. She has truly been a sustaining force for us on the farm this season.
