2026 Bird Lovers Program 

         In 2026, Keewaydin Farms collaborated with Wild Farm Alliance to establish a wildlife habitat specifically created to attract more birds to the farm. They planted around 300 transplants including grasses, shrubs, wildflowers, and other herbaceous vegetation in a 500 square foot plot next to the Driftless Curiosity Learning Center. The farm team then weeded and mulched around each plant to give them a healthy head start. In August the flowers were blooming beautifully, and there was an increase in both pollinators and birds. It is wonderful to see this plot flourish, and we are grateful to the NRCS and Wild Farm Alliance for funding and supporting this project.
