Dear Curiosity Journal,

People Fest 2024 was one of the best Driftless Music Gardens parties to date. We had so much fun but have no pictures to prove it. In the spirit of living in the present moment, we went phoneless throughout the festival. In the post People Fest photo drops, I found this shot of me holding up a bouquet at the end of the Mae Simpson show, which sums up the merriment of the experience. Rufus, Annie, and I went all out for the themed dress up days (beach, flowers, and veggies), having a blast with our costumes and giving out 6 buckets of flowers to festers. The felicity of frolicking to music and finding folks to furnish with flowers filled us with the joy of sharing nature with our community. Seeing our flowers fly onto the stage after the shows was icing on the cake! On veggie day, Rufus wore his carrot costume and Annie wore the matching pea costume, providing us with endless entertainment on the dance floor. What’s better than a carrot farmer in a carrot costume (who brought carrots to the party) busting a move with a pea? That’s some wholesome Driftless humor if you ask me. Thank you, Driftless Music Gardens, People Brothers Band, and everyone who made this weekend a perfect midsummer party! Your local farmers love you!
