Dear Curiosity Journal,
The sauna saga continues as we construct this ever-evolving building in our “spare time”. On Friday, we set some cedar logs up on the sawmill to make material for the ceiling. Then I sanded down the pieces as Rufus put them in place. The smell of the cedar was worth the sawdust in the eyes. To be honest, I’ve never used a sander before, and received no training on how to run the power tool, but it was pretty self explanatory and surprisingly fun once I got the hang of it. I was tickled by how the reverberation traveled through my fingers and left my hands happily humming. I had to smile at the synchronicity of sporting a shirt that says, “You’re braver than you think”, as I’ve always been a bit intimidated by power tools.
