Dear Curiosity Journal,
Although sheep are my preferred small ruminant, goats take the cake when it comes to curiosity. While my sheep tend to behave more prudently when it comes to exploring, Peter leads the way with a fierce sense of curiosity. Goats are notorious for escaping enclosures, but also for making us laugh. While free grazing, Peter jumped up into the little red trailer and snooped around. The sheep didn’t want anything to do with his shenanigans, but he trotted in and out of the trailer, causing me to giggle and form an anthropomorphic analysis about his desire to take a roadtrip. As farmers, we are always analyzing our animals, but as Rufus says, “It’s hard to know what’s going on in a goat brain”.
