Dear Curiosity Journal,
Rufus and I produce a fair amount of content for Keewaydin and Driftless Curiosity and spend many evening hours reviewing and editing photos and videos. I feel like this gives me a bit of a surreal perspective of myself. On one end of the spectrum, I cringe at so many moments, my voice, my face, and what comes out of my mouth when I’m nervous or excited. On the other end of the continuum, I spot loving glances at Rufus, the spark of joy I experience around animals, and the unpoised smiles that you don’t see in the mirror. This reflective practice teaches me how to laugh at myself and to love myself, a growth edge of humility and healing.
