Dear Curiosity Journal,
After a day of substitute teaching, Rufus finds his Friday freedom in the greenhouse pulling some of the first weeds of his 20th season. To say he is “built different” is an understatement. Growing food is bone deep for this recovering dairy kid and his work ethic never fails to inspire, amaze, and motivate me. My Capricorn parts, prone to compete, are always trying to keep up. The rush of spring energy seems to activate some super power in his constitution that makes this gal as smitten as a twitterpated songbird.
