Dear Curiosity Journal,
Another farm cycle is coming to a close. Rameo has been in with the ewes for 41 days. In a 40-day coupling, the ewes go through 2 heat cycles, hopefully giving them ample opportunity to get pregnant. Rameo has grown on me, and in some ways, I’ll miss having him around. He’s got a lot of spunk, and he’s taught me so much about “in-tact” male livestock. However, I’m also looking forward to reuniting the flock and letting my guard down. I had Rufus snap a few more photos of us so I can remember what he looks like and see if his babies resemble him. Rameo, registered name Avicii, is the second stud of our breeding program, the first ram we brought onto our farm, and we’ll count ourselves lucky to have his lambs.
