Dear Curiosity Journal,
During morning chores, I noted that all was well in the manger. Upon entering the pen for my afternoon rounds, I suddenly noticed that the southern wall of the barn was detached from the western wall. It was such an unexpected development that it took me a moment to calculate what could have happened. I immediately turned to Peter. “Did you bash these walls apart?” No response. “I don’t think it was the lambs”. Rufus walked around the outside of the wall and reported that there was only one screw holding it together. Seems par for the course of what we call “barnyard construction”. What exactly happened remains a mystery, but I’m pretty sure Peter had something to do with it.
