Dear Curiosity Journal,

With frost in the forecast, Rufus and I spent the day rescue harvesting. We hauled in cart loads of produce, filling the cooler and tables with celery, beets, turnips, dill, cilantro, radishes, broccoli, tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, arugula, salad mix, summer squash, and marigolds. Our efforts to save as much as possible sent us into the dark to gather by headlamp. We started the day in the 60s and ended in the low 30s. At one point, the wind picked up and Rufus made a remark about sensing the cold front. It was a drastic day in the field, only to find the following morning that it didn’t get as cold as predicted. It may not be tonight, but winter is coming.

Even when the temperature drops and frost is in the forecast, I love spending time in the garden with my husband 💖🥰#keewaydinfarms #driftlesscuriosity #gardenlove
