Dear Curiosity Journal,

Another wave of seedlings emerge; collards, broccoli, squash, kale, eggplant, and more flowers. The unfurling of the cucurbits are most dramatic; their genesis as a flat white eye peering under the soil purposely penetrates back into the light, unfolding and fanning cotyledon like a winning hand presented in victory. Their life force expands with impressive vigor and soon requires land where roots can roam,  vines can ramble, and fruit can ripen. I pause to appreciate their exuberant essence and envision channeling that energy in flashes of exhaustion. Be the cucurbit, rise to the light, abound with vitality, and reach for the sky by reading your inner design.
