Dear Curiosity Journal,
On Friday, Driftless Curiosity board members, Taylor and Diana, came out to the farm to help plant sunflowers. These gals have become our close friends during their service on the board and it is always a pleasure to spend time with them. I’m so grateful for their willingness to lend a hand, to show up after they’ve already put in a full day at their jobs, and to be called on for anything from planting to painting. It’s hard to ask for help when you’re in the trenches of the farming season, but this type of support is absolutely necessary to sustain us. We have a big vision. As Rufus says, we’re building a masterpiece, and a person can only bend over so many times in a day. So, when people are willing to put in the work, to build this wild Driftless Curiosity dream alongside of us, it’s hard to express how much that means. We’re forming bonds beyond friendship, around a body of work, a vision of beauty on the land, a passion project, and a full-on paradigm shift.
