Dear Curiosity Journal,
I saw a post the other day that said something like, “Instead of being on guard for triggers, keep an eye out for ‘glimmers’”. They defined “glimmers” as the elements in our environment that soothe our nervous system, spark joy, and bring about a sense of calm. They can be audible, tactile, visual, aromatic, or delicious. So today, I’m looking through a lens of good and sharing my “glimmers” of lamb cuddles, calendula flowers starting to open, playful babies, peonies fading, goats sliding, strawflowers opening, wild rose wafting, half siblings hopping, nasturtium hiding, asparagus crunching, and birds singing in the background – the nervous system therapy of the land.
