Dear Curiosity Journal,

Betty Lou Ewe kicked off our lambing season with a set of healthy twins. The first lamb, a girl named Buttercup, came out in the ideal position and with relative ease compared to her brother. The second lamb, a big boy named BamBam, came almost an hour and a half later with my assistance. He was positioned with his head and one leg forward with the other leg folded back. When I decided to intervene, I saw that his tongue was sticking out and his eyes were bulging, so I knew we needed to get him out of there. So far, the little family is thriving. The lambs are very “thrifty” (on their feet and vigorously nursing) and Betty is obsessed with them. She’s a superstar mommy, zealously attentive to her babies, and we are all over the moon.
