Dear Curiosity Journal,

On Sunday, we scrambled to “finish” construction (at least on the inside) of the building that will one day be the sauna. For the summer, we’re removing the stove and repurposing this structure as a “tiny house” for the farm intern. We installed solar electricity with a light fixture and 3 outlets, completed the cedar walls and ceiling, finished the drywall and mudding in the front room, put in a new door handle, tacked up the trim, and closed off the chimney. The spot is shaping up to be a really cute little dwelling, perfect for a young person seeking a summer adventure. There’s nothing like a hard deadline to force us into completing a project, and we’re super excited to welcome our 2024 summer intern starting this week.
