Dear Curiosity Journal,
Leaving the land becomes less likable as I linger.
Errands, extracurriculars, and emergencies take evermore emotional effort.
Kissing the ground upon returning from an absence of more than a few hours
What a curious course of character – a quirky country codependency
A sanctuary, a bubble, a wonderland, if you will
Safe, small circle, seniority
A world apart, yet a catalyst of connection
A place, an identity, an extension of myself
A swinger in the trees, a hammock in the breeze
My dearest friends, the birds and the bees
And a flock of sheep huddling around my knees.
Yes please!
