Dear Curiosity Journal,
The energy around the mushroom puzzle mounted as the pile of uncoupled pieces dwindled down to a handful. We were drawn more frequently to the table and given to impulsive midday puzzling while passing through the kitchen. We became easily distracted from ordinary emails and cheered each other on with celebratory dances and high-fives when we fixed the final fractions of the figure. Parallel to this literal puzzle, I ponder how to present Driftless Curiosity in our most recent grant proposal. I’m starting to put the pieces of the puzzle together and eagerly anticipating our celebratory dances when we put the funding in place.
