I spent a slow Sunday cleaning up the aftermath of our maple syrup workshop. There were armloads of sticky dishes to wash, program supplies to return to the office, paperwork to be filed, and photos to edit. I worked my way through each task at an unhurried pace and gave thanks for our blossoming food community. While I looked through the photos, I saw glimpses of all the different ways people connected to the land and each other, making the pile of sticky dishes totally worthwhile.
